Love ~ Swans

While strolling around this lake in 2008, I took photos of these Swans and one of them really showed off.  Going to the other swan, they made this heart shape just for me!  Swans, who mate for life, make this heart shape when they are courting.  I LOVE IT!!

We drove around Kukuiolono Golf Course which is so beautiful with it’s gorgeous views! It is a public golf course and though we aren’t golfers, yet, I did take advantage of some of the nice opportunities to take photographs.

Wild Goat

Waimea, Canyon

We could see some Wild Goats in the distance and while I was taking photos of the canyon they came closer until they were right by us, just on the other side of a chain linked fence.  It was fun to watch them as they played, ate and looked at the beautiful view.

Walking By

Lots of people were walking by the Hawaiian Green Turtles out on the beach.  It is against the law to touch them and you are not suppose to get closer than 10′.  They are such awesome creatures!

We had a wonderful day of snorkeling in the Pacific Ocean and there were lots of beautiful fish to see!

Cook Pine & Palms

There is one lone Cook Pine sitting at Poipu Beach and it stands elegantly  surrounded by Palm Trees!

Poipu Beach, Kauai, Hawaii

This time to Hawaii we have seen a lot of Hawaiian Green Turtles.  In this photo you can see the one close to me and another across the lagoon on the other side of the beach.  They are fun to watch, though I do love to swim with them in the ocean!

Hawaiian Green Turtle

After looking at the beautiful sunset I took the time to look at the four turtles that were sleeping on the beach.  It was pretty as the sun reflected on them and then this little guy looked up at me and ‘smiled’.

Sleeping

Poipu, Kauai, Hawaii

Hawaiian Green Turtles come onto the beach during the night and they sleep.  I am sure they are exhausted after swimming into waves all day!

Together

The sun was coming up and cast a beautiful light upon the beach, so this was a perfect place for my sister and I to put our feet up and RELAX. Notice there is a Hawaiian Green Turtle there on the beach, too, RELAXING I presume!

Hibiscus

Hibiscus grow wild in Hawaii and they come in all different colors, red, yellow, orange, pink, and there are some that are two toned.  They are gorgeous, I really like them, they might be my favorite or one of my favorites!  What is your favorite flower?

Cattle Egert

As we walked along I saw a couple Cattle Egert’s, which you see all over Kauai.  This one waited for me to take it’s photo, so I did, then it flew away.  I think they are beautiful birds, they have an elegance about them!
