Back in 2006 we had a friend visiting us from Italy so we took her to some of our Utah sites.  Zion National Park was one of these, where we took a driving trip thru it and saw some beautiful scenery.  It was nice for us to see some of our own state.  We LOVED it and so did Stefania!

When we have company from afar, we take them to Golden Spike National Historic Site at Promontory Point.  In 2006, we took our visitors to see the re-enactment of the driving of the ‘Golden Spike’ which allowed the Jupiter (Central Pacific Railroad) and 119 (Union Pacific Railroad) to come together.  This occurred on May 10, 1869 and changed our nation.

Farmington Bay is a great place to see migratory birds.  In 2006 I went there with my friend Pam and we saw tons of eagles as well as other birds.  I try to go to Farmington Bay each February, a wonderful place for photographers and birds lovers.

Around Valentine’s Day, each year, I go to Farmington Bay where I photograph the migratory birds. I never know from year to year what I will see. In 2006 I was pleasantly surprised to see tons of Bald Eagles. This tree was covered, so fun! How many Bald Eagles can you see? Oh…HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!

The Salt Lake Temple

TESL48fa-0405.+Salt Lake City, Utah

As Fall is upon us, I am thinking of Spring.  I love this photo I took back in April of 2005.  The Salt Lake Temple took 40 years to build and is a symbol of the love those early, dedicated members of the 1800’s had, giving so much to their time, talents and resources to their Lord and God!

Photo taken with my Canon 20D camera.
