Branson Landing

Branson, Missouri

Branson Landing is a beautiful area with stores & restaurants with the White River running thru it, though some say it is actually Lake Taneycomo a finger lake.  This was the best place to sit and RELAX as a water-skier went by.

Piña Colada

Xcaret, Mexico

We walked around Xcaret, an awesome park, and then we were tired so, it was time to put my feet up and RELAX and this was the perfect way to do that!  On the beach with a Piña Colada (virgin) in hand!

USS Constitution

uma8b-0916-img_7110-80Boston, Massachusetts

The USS Constitution is the world’s oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat, launching in 1797.  In 2016 we were able to walk around the USS Constitution while she is in dry dock and as skilled people work to restore her.  As we walked around I thought, if only she could speak, what stories she could tell!

Bunker Hill Monument

Last year as we walked along the Freedom Trail in Boston, we crossed a bridge and from there we had a nice view of the Bunker Hill Monument across Boston Harbor.  It was here that the battle of Bunker Hill took place on June 17, 1775.

Pirate Cruise

New Plymouth, Massachusetts

Today is one of our grandson’s birthday and so we called and wished him a HAPYY BIRTHDAY and told him that we have a gift for him and we will bring it to him when we get home.  He was happy.  Well, this grandson LOVES pirates and anything about pirates, so on Saturday I took this photo for him and then made it into a post-card and sent it to him.  I wrote to him; ‘while we were on a boat we saw this little pirate ship and thought of you!  If you had been here with us, we would have taken you on a PIRATE CRUISE!  Would that have been fun?’

Now, how fun is that?  A PIRATE CRUISE!

Mayflower II

img_0424-60Plymouth, Massachusetts

We had a fun time in Plymouth, Massachusetts where we took a cruise out on Plymouth Harbor.  While passing the Mayflower II, I snapped this photo.  The Mayflower II is a replica of the 17th-century ship Mayflower that transported the Pilgrims to the New World in 1620.  There were 102 passengers with about 30 crew.  Every time I look at the Mayflower, I am amazed that so many people fit on it and sailed across the Atlantic Ocean nearly 400 years ago.

Hard Head Creek

We went to dinner with some friends who we have known for over 35 years, it was so good to see them!  Our dinner at Caron’s Creekside Restaurant was delicious and it was so fun to be together with them.  Before we ate I went out on the dock and took photos of Hard Head Creek, the boats and and the beautiful scenery!

Sailing on Chesapeake Bay

It was a beautiful day as we walked along the water’s edge and watched the sailboats sailing on Chesapeake Bay with the The Francis Scott Key Bridge, also known as the Outer Harbor Bridge or simply the Key Bridge, in the background.

Moving On The Rhine

River Boats transport things back and forth all day long.  Christine and I watched as this boat passed us and another one came up the river, the Rhine is a very busy river!

Tower Bridge

IMG_4938

London, England

Tower Bridge is a symbolic icon of London and opened in 1894. The other day with Roby Parisi & Nauvoo Rossato, we walked across it on a much cooler and very cloudy day. So, this day, with no clouds and sunshine, we went for a boat ride along the River Thames and we went under Tower Bridge. The sights of London from the River Thames were awesome! By-the-way, the building on the right that looks like it is tipping, it is, that’s how it was built.

London Eye

IMG_4663

London, England

The London Eye sits on the River Thames and was completed in 2000. It is a giant Ferris wheel that stands 443 feet, when completed it was the world’s tallest Ferris Wheel but was surpassed in 2008 by the Singapore Flier (541′) and in 2014 by the High Roller in Las Vegas (550′).  I don’t like Ferris Wheels, so I haven’t been on the London Eye, but Craig and Chelsea have been on it and on the Singapore Flier.

Warwick Castle

IMG_4357
Warwick, England

We had a fun day at Warwick Castle! It is a medieval castle built originally by William the Conqueror in 1068 and has changed a lot thru the years due to wars and fires. It sits on the River Avon and has activities for young and old. This day I went into my first ‘Castle Dungeon’. As we went in there was a sign that said, ‘intended to scare’! I have never gone into those types of things before, but I did and I SURVIVED! Chelsea was braver than I!

Home of William Shakespeare

IMG_4057

Stratford Upon Avon, England

The River Avon majestically flows through Stratford Upon Avon which is a beautiful, quaint village where William Shakespeare was born, raised and died (1564-1616). He is remembered throughout the city. He was buried in Holy Trinity Church, whose spire you can see in the distance of this photo.

Bath, England

We took a cruise on the River Avon and we went under the Pulteney Bridge. At the end of our hour journey I asked the captain if I could put my feet up and take a photo. I showed him a previous photo with my feet. He laughed and said, ‘wish you were here’, as a question. I laughed and said, ‘yes, with an added RELAXING on the River Avon’. He was so excited, really cute and so I got this photo!

Cruising The Canal

CruisingCanalBerlin, Germany – 2016 – iPhone

We took a tour so we could see where we wanted to visit.  While crossing a bridge I saw this canal and a boat coming.  Luckily, the traffic was stopped long enough for me to get this photo!  After our tour there were so many places we wanted to visit that we ended up walking 8 miles and saw about everything!

Royal Yacht

Copenhagen, Denmark

We took a fun cruise around the canal’s of Copenhagen, it was really enjoyable! It was Queen Margarethe II’s birthday, while we were there, so that is why there are so many flags on their yacht.
