Warwick, England
At Warwick Castle they had a very cool bird show! Amazingly some of the birds soared right above our heads!

The River Avon majestically flows through Stratford Upon Avon which is a beautiful, quaint village where William Shakespeare was born, raised and died (1564-1616). He is remembered throughout the city. He was buried in Holy Trinity Church, whose spire you can see in the distance of this photo.

While Chelsea McKenzie Pacini and I were having lunch with Ilaria Silli, (a great friend from Italy) I noticed people walking across a bridge and then they would stop and look down. So, after lunch we walked over there to see what they were looking at and this is it, a Swan sitting on her nest! I am assuming this is a female because generally the female sits on her nest for up to 6 weeks, the male however, can if necessary. I love swans, they are beautiful and so graceful in the water. Also, they mate for life which I think is really cool! They are beautiful! CONGRATULATIONS go to Donald Donald E. Russell & Raewyn Lyes Viljoen for guessing correctly, at least the Swan, the nest is an added bonus! Donald & Raewyn, send me your mailing address in a private message (Facebook) and I will send you your gift for guessing correctly!!

After a walk along the beach, I sat down to RELAX and watch the surfers as they glided across the waves. All of a sudden I heard ‘cock-a-doodle-doo’, I looked behind me to see this beautiful Rooster. I quickly turned around to get a photo of him with my feet, as he walked away!

My friend, Pam & I went out to Farmington Bay, back in 2007. We saw lots of Bald Eagles that day. As we were crossing a bridge, all of a sudden, there were a bunch of Bald Eagles who flew out from under it. This Eagle fell into the water, as it was hit by some of the other Eagles, in their panic. It swam, using it’s wings like arms, to the side and after a little while it took off, with water dripping off of it. It was fascinating to watch!

Around Valentine’s Day, each year, I go to Farmington Bay where I photograph the migratory birds. I never know from year to year what I will see. In 2006 I was pleasantly surprised to see tons of Bald Eagles. This tree was covered, so fun! How many Bald Eagles can you see? Oh…HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!
