Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii
Hawaii is one of my favorite places in the world, this sunset might help you to understand why! I had a wonderful walk along the beach as the sun was setting and it was a gorgeous sunset!

Simon was our falconer and he showed us a number of his birds. It was amazing! I loved this Barn Owl who was so aware of everything around us, but very gentle. We were able to touch it’s very, very soft feathers. I love the white feathers with the contrast of it’s very dark eyes.

Along the road I trod, watching all I past. A bike came along and as it wizzed by it gave me the opportunity to snap this shot. I love the bike as it took it’s passenger along, the brick wall with it’s various colors, the tree that is so big & barren and the house beyond that is so British.

Hanapepe, Kauai, Hawai’i
When we were on Kauai last year, my sister and her husband found this awesome, quaint swinging bridge in Hanapepe. It is a foot bridge that crosses over the Hanapepe River and links the old town of Hanapepe to the Hanapepe Valley. It was originally built in the 1900’s as the only way for locals to cross the river. In 1992, it was badly damaged by Hurricane Iniki and has since been restored and reinforced. It is used today by farmers and locals who need to cross the river, as well as, curious tourists.

The Tree Tunnel of Kauai is a row of Eucalyptus Trees that was planted approximately 150 years ago by the Scotchman, Walter Duncan McBryde. Each time we drive to Po’ipu from Lihue, we drive thru the Tree Tunnel. This particular day it was raining and you can see rain drops on the windshield of our car, I took this photo anyway!
