As we walked around we saw lots and lots of butterflies flying or sitting on a flower. They were so gorgeous!

We went on a boat along this river, it was so calming and relaxing, the perfect place for me to put my feet up and truly RELAX!

Hibiscus

Salt Lake City, Utah

I love Hibiscus and because of our weather you don’t see them here very often, particularly not large ones, these were gorgeous and big!

Hibiscus

Poipu, Kauai, Hawai’i

When I am out taking photos, many times, I carry with me a small spray bottle so when I want to give a fresh, new effect, I can spray water on a flower.  This water livens up the flower and adds so much!  Of course, natures way with rain drops  works the same and is better.  It had rained thru the night, as you can see by the rain drops on this hibiscus.

Iguana

IMG_1778a

Riviera Maya, Mexico

There were two Iguana’s near us, or I should say, we saw two Iguana’s near us, who knows how many more were in the bushes.  There are a lot of them in this part of the world!  Surprisingly, they say that Iguana’s are very intelligent, considering the size of their brains. Iguanas can be toilet trained, learn tricks, and even find their way home when lost.

Voladores De Papantla

Xcaret, Mexico

These men were amazing to watch. They are just holding on with their hands, as they spin around and they got going pretty fast. The man on the left is playing a flute and the little drum. It was an interesting musical sound.

Locked Out

Cancun, Mexico

After going for my morning walk on the beach, I came back to our room, but I was locked out, for some reason my key wouldn’t work.  Craig was at breakfast, so I decided to just sit down, put my feet up and RELAX!

Sea Turtle Eggs

IMG_1734aCancun, Mexico

As I was out walking along the beach I saw a man digging in the sand. He was finding Sea Turtle Eggs and collecting them. They are then put into a protected area where they grow and develop for two months. Once they hatch they are taken out of the sand and at night they are put into the Caribbean Sea. Thousands of Sea Turtles have been saved by doing this, otherwise, the little Turtles are eaten by Seagulls before they make it to the sea. It is pretty awesome!!

Hotel Zone

When you are on the beach along the Hotel Zone, there are hotels in either direction, lots of hotels.  It is a beautiful area, I LOVE my early morning walks!

WOW, this was a huge iguana sitting not far from us, just basking in the sun.  For iguana’s, I think he is pretty!

Looking Out To Sea

Tulum, Mexico

It was raining hard when we got to Tulum, even so it was gorgeous! Tulum is a Mayan village that sits right on the coastline. From here we looked out to sea.

The Caribbean Sea

Tulum, Mexico

I was so moved by Tulum, I felt a special spirit there and this was the perfect place to put my feet up and RELAX as I looked out at the Caribbean Sea.  A very beautiful spot!

Mayan Temple

Tulum, Mexico

As I walked thru Tulum I felt like I had walked back into The Book of Mormon times.  Tulum was one of the last cities built and inhabited by the Mayan, between the 13th and 15th centuries.  This is their Temple which is the highest point in Tulum and looks out over the Caribbean Sea.  It is a very picturesque spot.  This particular day it was raining very hard.

Ocean View

Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico

The ocean view at the Ancient Site of Tulum is awesome!  Tulum is the site of a Pre-Columbian Maya walled city serving as a major port for Coba. The ruins are situated along the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea.  It is a very beautiful and impressive area!
