Tree Tunnel

Maluhia Road, Kauai, Hawaii

The Tree Tunnel of Kauai is a row of Eucalyptus Trees that was planted approximately 150 years ago by the Scotchman, Walter Duncan McBryde.  Each time we drive to Po’ipu from Lihue, we drive thru the Tree Tunnel.  This particular day it was raining and you can see rain drops on the windshield of our car, I took this photo anyway!

Beach

Tulum, Mexico

As looked at this beach along the Caribbean Sea, in Tulum, I could see into the past and see little Mayan children playing there.  I thought this was a beautiful setting!

Sleeping on the Beach

Poipu, Kauai, Hawaii

I love walking along the beach in Poipu because there is always some sort of sea life to see.  This time on our visit, I saw Monk Seals and/or Hawaiian Green Turtles each morning.

Hawaiian Green Turtle

Poipu, Kauai, Hawaii

I love my early morning walks along the beach!  If I go early enough I will usually see a turtle sleeping before heading back to sea.

Waterfall; Road to Hana

Maui, Hawaii

Maui has been one of my least favorite Hawaiian Islands, until we took the road to Hana.  It was gorgeous, with waterfalls around each bend.  I look forward to returning soon!

Temple

Tulum, Mexico

Tulum was a very impressive place where the Mayan’s lived along the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. Tulum was one of the last cities built and inhabited by the Maya, between the 13th and 15th centuries.

Water Droplet

Poipu, Kauai, Hawai’i

It had rained right before I went for my morning walk and I saw some water droplet’s dripping off of things.  I loved the clarity of this water droplet dripping off of an orchid with part of the orchid reflected in the droplet.

Peaceful View

Koloa, Kauai, Hawai’i

This area is chained off and it has a sign that says; KAPU, Forbidden, Keep Out.  From what I understand it is a sacred spot and it has a very peaceful feel.  The birds and roosters were enjoying it’s peacefulness, this day.
