Night on the Beach

Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii

We went to Kapaa and ate at Sam’s Ocean View. We had a beautiful view of the ocean, but it didn’t last long as the sun went down, so this photo was taken in the dark and I was able to work with it to bring out everything. Did you know that a dark photo can be worked with so whatever is in the photo can be brought out?  It can and this is an example of that!

Berries

There are such beautiful flowers and plants all over Hawaii.  I loved these berries that hang down from a very interesting tree.  I don’t know what they are, if you do, please let me know!  THANKS!

Thru The Palms

They say that Hawaii is PARADISE and as I went for my walk this morning, I believed it!

State Bird of Hawaii

The Nene is the State Bird of Hawaii and it is a type of goose.  They are hard to find, but there is an area in Lihue where you see a lot of them.  This one possed for me.

Piña Colada

Hibiscus and Palm

As I was playing with my new toy, a GoPro camera, I took this photo with it on a selfie stick and said, ‘GoPro take a photo’ and it did.  WOW, it turned out quite good!

Hibiscus

We had a down pour and then the sun came out and I took photos of these beautiful Hibiscus with rain drops on them!  I love Hibiscus, they are so elegant.

Sea Snail

Lihue, Hawaii

They grow things big in Hawaii, look at this Sea Snail.  Sea Snail is a common name for snails that normally live in saltwater, they are marine gastropods with shells.  Some of these are edible, oh yummy!  I am so glad I didn’t accidentally step on it!

Emergency Room

Kauai, Hawaii

I didn’t expect to spend my first night in Kauai, in the Emergency Room of the hospital! That’s what happens when you fall on a treadmill and get thrown into an elliptical! OUCH! This happened just hours before we left for Hawaii! Made it though, but by the evening there was lots of pain, so I got checked out!. Nothing too serious, a broken rib which will heal in time.  What a place to recuperate in!  LOVING HAWAII!

Hawaii Here We Come

Salt Lake City, Utah

I could hardly sleep the night before, because I was so excited to go on this trip to Hawaii!  We are going to Kauai, Maui and Ohau. I LOVE HAWAII!
