I really like cactus’!  I am at awe, how they grow with very little water and yet they produce such beautiful flowers!  WOW, gorgeous!

Beautiful Creations

I woke-up early and looked out our hotel room window to see how the night was going and to my delight, the sun was just rising over the horizon.  I grabbed my camera and took this photo.  As I look at it, it gives me reverence to Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ for the beautiful creations that were made for us!

Waterfall

We came to this small, but beautiful waterfall, the perfect place for me to put my feet up and RELAX.  It was so peaceful!

Voladores de Papantla Flyers

We watched this very ancient ceremonial ritual.  It is believed it began about 450 years ago when there was a severe drought in the land and the ritual was created to appease the Gods and apparently it worked.  The ritual consists of dancers climbing a 30 meter (98 1/2 foot) pole from which four of the five participants then launch themselves tied with ropes to descend to the ground. The fifth remains on top of the pole, dancing and playing a flute and drum.  It was very interesting and oh, there was no net!

Turtle Swimming Past

At Xcaret, they have an area with a pond and turtles in it, swimming around.  It was the right place to put my feet up and RELAX!!

Brilliant Macaws

I love the brilliant colors of these Macaws.  They are so gorgeous and fun to watch!

Piña Colada

We walked around Xcaret, an awesome park, and then we were tired so, it was time to put my feet up and RELAX and this was the perfect way to do that!  On the beach with a Piña Colada (virgin) in hand!

Macaw

We saw lots of Macaw, a type of Parrot, at Xcaret, a beautiful and fun park.  I love their curiosity and bright colors!

Delicate

I really enjoy watching Jellyfish, they are so delicate as they move slowly along. We saw some at Xcaret and I spent a lot of time watching them. They are found in all oceans, way down deep or on the surface. What beautiful creatures!

The Beach

One of my favorite things to do is walk along the beach, so that is what I did.  I ENJOYED the sand, the ocean, the scenery!  It was awesome!

Corn on the cob

If you haven’t had Mexican corn on the cob, you have really missed out!  I had to have this, luckily, I don’t do this everyday!  Corn on the cob with mayonnaise and cheese, yummy!!

Beautiful Butterfly

While at Xcaret, we went to an area where there were butterflies everywhere.  The trick was to get them to stop long enough to get a photo.  They were beautiful!

Seagull

Long Beach, California

I thought I would walk to the beach.  Well, it was a lot further away than I thought, an hour and a half later I was there.  HA! HA!  I didn’t really notice the time because I was talking on the phone to three of my girl’s.  Once at the beach, I enjoyed every moment I was there and then had Craig pick me up to take me back to our hotel!

Peeking Thru

As we watched this Jaguar, he went into a pool of water and was blocked by the trees and plants.  I walked around until I could see him thru them and took this shot!

There is an area in Xcaret where you can stand and look across at Jaguars.  It was awesome watching this cat, he seemed to enjoy watching me, too!
