C.<\/p>\n<p>From the Jefferson Memorial you can see the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial across the Potomac River. \u00a0It opened on August 22, 2011, on the 48th anniversary of the &#8220;I Have a Dream&#8221; speech that Martin Luther King Jr. delivered from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in 1963. \u00a0A ceremony was postponed until October 16th, (the 16th anniversary of the 1995 Million Man March on the National Mall) due to Hurricane Irene.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Washington D.
