Back To Rain

When we arrived in Gothenburg 2 1/2 months ago, it was cold and rainy, now it is still rainy, though not quite as cold! So, once again I put my feet up and RELAXED! Having said all that, the next day it was sunny and warm and the figure on the horse, yes the statue, had a scarf on!

Cruising In The Fjords

The Great Belt Bridge

As we cruised along from Germany to Norway we went under The Great Belt Bridge.  Of course, I had to put my feet up and RELAX!

As we left Kiel, we passed an amusement park, I couldn’t go to it because we were on a Ferry headed tor Norway, so I did the next best thing, I put my feet up and RELAXED!

Along The Rhine

From where Christine lives there is a peninsula that juts out into the Rhine. To get there we crossed a small walking bridge and then we walked thru a beautiful forest! Then we walked along the Rhine watching river boats go by, listening to the birds (and there were lots) and enjoying the peace and quiet. I put my feet up and RELAXED. In this photo you can see how high the Rhine is, due to all the rain throughout Europe, the trees normally come out of a beach not the river!

Not European Championships

As we walked around Bonn I saw a football, (American Soccer) game going on, on the grounds of the University of Bonn. It wasn’t the European Championships that are going on right now, but it was the perfect place for me to put my feet up and RELAX, bike and all!!

Here on Mont Saint-Quentin I found the perfect place to put my feet up and RELAX!  You can see the River Moselle as it winds it’s way through the countryside.

In His Gardens

Robert Schuman’s gardens are beautiful and impressive.  Here I found a spot to put my feet up and RELAX!

Robert Schuman’s Gardens

Robert Schuman was an amazing man, born in Luxembourg, he grew up to be called the ‘Father of Europe’. He spent most week-ends at his home and the last few years of his life there, during which time he attended church daily. His garden is beautiful and peaceful, so I took advantage and put my feet up and RELAXED. In this photo you can see his house thru the trees to the right and the church he attended to the left.

Cascading Waterfalls

We had a wonderful walk with our friends Marlies and Helmut Werner thru the quaint and beautiful streets of Luxembourg. After awhile it was time for a rest, so I put my feet up and RELAXED in front of these beautiful cascading waterfalls.

Eurotunnel or Chunnel

Under the English Channel at the Strait of Dover

It was time to leave the United Kingdom after having a WONDERFUL time there, so sadly, we took our leave! There are not a lot of options of getting off the islands but we chose the Eurotunnel or Chunnel. It was a great place to put my feet up and RELAX & I was doing what the roof top messaging bar said to do, (you may need to enlarge the photo to read it) ‘RELAX, we’ll drive.’
