Sunset Over Baltimore

As we drove from Middle River, Maryland to Annapolis, Maryland, there was a beautiful sunset over Baltimore, I couldn’t resist taking it’s picture!

Mountain?

We were driving along the freeway as the sun was setting over Baltimore.  I grabbed my camera and took this photo with the setting sun behind a mountain, or is it?  I showed it to our son, Benjamin and he knew right away what it was, because he knows there are no mountains in Baltimore.  What is it?  Well, it is a type of mountain, a mountain of salt ready for the winter.

The Sun At Sunset

We were driving to meet up with our son and his family and we saw this beautiful sunset, so my husband pulled off the road so I could take this photograph. It’s a good thing, because by the time we met up with our family the sun had already passed below the horizon!

As the sun was setting over the Pacific Ocean sun rays shone thru the clouds. Sunsets are beautiful but with added sun rays they are awesome!

Worth The Wait

The sun was setting so I walked out by the beach. There were lots of people there waiting for the perfect sunset. It didn’t come so everyone left, except for me and one other man, who remained looking out at the sky.

I have learned thru the years that there are many stages to a sunset and even though the sun maybe below the horizon beauty can still shine forth and this evening was a perfect example of that. It definitely was worth the wait!

On The Road

After spending a beautiful day in Serbia, we returned to Croatia. It was dark when we arrived in Zagreb, but we did see this beautiful sunset as we headed west towards Zagreb, Croatia.

We were crossing the Golden Gate Bridge as the sun was setting and I saw some bicyclists ahead of us, so I start shooting, I got this photo which I have always loved!

We visited Thailand in 2012.  We had been in Phuket for a number of days and I had tried to get a sunset photo, but to no avail.  Finally, while swimming with my grandkids I saw a sunset and took this photo with my underwater camera.  Not bad considering!
