We visited Thailand in 2012.  We had been in Phuket for a number of days and I had tried to get a sunset photo, but to no avail.  Finally, while swimming with my grandkids I saw a sunset and took this photo with my underwater camera.  Not bad considering!

Cruising on the Yangtze River

China

On a trip to China in 2008, we took a cruise up the Yangtze River.  Some of the highlights were; going up the locks to the top of the dam, after a good nights sleep, watching the sunrise on the river and meeting the wonderful Chinese people!  It was an awesome adventure!

We were watching a play along the banks of the Mississippi River, back in 2005 and I turned to look at the sunset, it was gorgeous, sadly I left the play to get this photo.  :^)

Sunset on the Oquirrh Mountains

What a beautiful view of a gorgeous sunset we had.  I could see the sky was changing color as the sun set over the Great Salt Lake. So, I hurried outside and up the hill behind our house. And, this is what I saw as the sunset on the Oquirrh Mountains.

Sunrise

Cascais, Portugal

I awoke early to look out the window and see the sunrise, it was spectacular as the sun rose over the ocean.  It brought a lot of joy to me!
