I ❤️ Hawaiian Mountains even with fog sitting on the top. Their crevices sometimes have waterfalls going down them, and they are always beautiful with their lush green!

On our way to Sea Life we went thru the mountains and saw some beautiful scenery! I knew we were going to be able to see The Haiku Stairs or Stairway to Heaven, so I had my camera ready and I got a couple great shots! These stairs are a steep hiking trail with 3,922 steps, but because of damage on the stairs, they are dangerous to use and someone can receive a fine if they do so!

One of the reasons I love Hawaii so much is because there are some very peaceful places! This one, that I found a few years ago, is one of those and each morning I go there to relax and plan out my life. ‘My Lagoon’, is the kind of place we all need, a place for thinking, meditation, re-evaluating and most of all ENJOYING LIFE!

Each morning I walk to ‘MY LAGOON’, it is a secluded lagoon that very few people know about. I am usually the only person there, where it is peaceful and gorgeous! Because most of the time I am alone I can have fun taking photos of my feet without any stares! This day I RELAXED and watched as the waves came in and I caught this one as it bounced off the rocks, sitting just under the shore line!

The Iolani Palace is very impressive with it’s tall ceilings and large rooms. Here is where Hawaiian Royalty lived, the Kings and Queens of the past.
The entryway with it’s grand stairway was a perfect place to put my feet up and relax! And yes, even my flipflops had to be covered! ☺️

In all the years that we have come here to Hawaii, we have never gone to the royal palace, so, we decided it was time to go.
It is a beautiful building that shows the grace and charm of the Hawaiian people.
I was amazed that for the 1800’s it was so modern. The Iolani Palace had electric lights before the White House and before Buckingham Palace, to me that is AMAZING! Way out here on the Hawaiian Islands they had electricity that early. The lights turned on for the first time at the Iolani Palace on July 21, 1886, wow! GO HAWAII!
Note: The flag is have mast because of the tragedy in Dallas, Texas last week!
