Caldicot, Wales to Sudbrook, England
We crossed over a very cool bridge as we left Wales and went back to England. It was pretty RELAXING because I wasn’t driving!

We spent the day in Bath and then returned to Bristol where we were staying. We had walked over to the Bristol Cathedral (The Cathedral Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity) in the morning but there were people everywhere. Later, we walked past it on our way to dinner and the grass was covered with trash left by those who had been there in the morning. Now, after dinner, as we walked to our hotel in a heavy rain, the lights were just coming on, the grass was cleaned and the rain refreshed everything.

We took a cruise on the River Avon and we went under the Pulteney Bridge. At the end of our hour journey I asked the captain if I could put my feet up and take a photo. I showed him a previous photo with my feet. He laughed and said, ‘wish you were here’, as a question. I laughed and said, ‘yes, with an added RELAXING on the River Avon’. He was so excited, really cute and so I got this photo!

I had to sit and RELAX and think of the past and those who built Stonehenge. There are so many unanswered questions! Who were they? Why did they built it and how did they without our modern equipment? We may never know! When we visited years ago we could walk around the rocks. I was a bit disappointed this time that we are kept back, but preservation is important and it’s much easier to take photos without a ton of people in the photo! Notice my new flipflops!

Stonehenge has always seemed mystical to me. Constructed between 3,000 BC & 2,000 BC, it is believed to be a burial ground. The question has always been and may remain for all time; How was it built? When we visited years ago we could walk around the rocks. I was a bit disappointed this time that we are kept back, but preservation is important and it’s much easier to take photos without a ton of people in the photo!

Epsom Downs is the premier horse racing track in the British Isles. So, I thought I would sit and RELAX while waiting for the races to begin! Here come the horses! 😍🐎 Oh, and yes I am sitting right where they race, on the grass! The weather is beautiful and no flipflops because the only pair I have with me, broke!

We spent the afternoon with some wonderful friends, Di & David and after a yummy lunch they showed us their stomping grounds. Just across from Epsom Downs, (the premier horse racing track in the British Isles) is a golf course with a beautiful view of London! ENJOY London from afar!
