Esher, England
Christ Church Esher is very typical of the churches one sees in England. A clock on the main steeple & different crosses on the tops, beautiful as they reach to the sky.

After seeing WICKED, an awesome play, we walked to a restaurant for dinner and passed this really cool clock at Victoria Station. It is situated close to the theater where HAMILTON is playing. Sadly, HAMILTON is booked out and has been for months. A few days after taking this photo, we were on a tour of London and the cab driver, Michael, told us that the name of this clock is Little Ben. It was erected in 1892 and was a gift from France. It mimics the famous clock tower, Big Ben.

London England
On this beautiful sunny day in London we went for a ride on the Clipper, a type of water taxi. As we left we had a beautiful view of Big Ben, a nickname for the large bell clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London which the Houses of Parliament occupy. The tower is officially known as Elizabeth Tower, named after Queen Elizabeth. The tower was completed in 1859.

Prague, Czech Republic – 2016 – 50D
We went on a great walking tour around Prague. Our guide Jan, (Honza is what his family calls him), said he would take us to the Metro at the end of our tour. So, when it was over, while we waited for him to help the other people on our tour get to where they needed to go, we stood by this clock. When Jan returned I asked him if it was worth it to wait and watch the clock go off (it does every hour on the hour). His response was, “Let’s wait!” So, we did, we visited for the next 15 minutes and then we saw it go! The two little doors opened and the 12 Apostles appeared two by two. The skeleton, on the right, pulled the chain and the bell tolled. It only last a matter of seconds, but it was worth the wait!
This is an amazing clock! It tells the equator, time, zodiac, 24 hour clock, ancient Czech time, moon revolutions, star time, sunrise and sunset, year & month, to name a few things! It is the oldest running astronomical clock in the world.
